Tips to buy LCD Monitor

Liquid-crystal monitor (LCD Monitor), is first limited to notebooks, is now widely used in the Pc Desktop. Only a matter of time until LCD monitors will replace CRT monitors in the world. There are three of the biggest advantages of this type of monitor is need less space (especially sizes 17 "or larger), less consumption of electricity and 100% flicker free, albeit with a refresh rate of 60 frames per second (60Hz). The main problem with LCD is that they have the original resolution and theoretically that the monitor can only do this resolution. If it be labeled LCD 1024x768, it is very possible that this was the original resolution. If you can not adjust the LCD monitor in its original resolution, three things may happen:

1. Images will be checked, without a definition.

2. Monitor it will focus the image in a new resolution,
reduce the size of the image and there will be a black line between image and border display. For example, if the original configuration is 1024x768 and you reduce to 800x600, this means that there are 224 pixels horizontally and live lives with 168 straight. The image will be focused and there will be 112 pixels which blanked (black line) above and below the image and 84 pixels which blanked (black line) on the sides of the picture.

3. Monitor it will try
to stretch the picture so the black areas around the image is not visible, fill the entire screen, using the inserts. However, without the insertion technique 100% and you will feel the picture has a better quality (definition) in the actual resolution. In the general you will feel that the picture is a little less focus when the monitor is not in its original resolution.

What will happen will depend on the model of the monitor; choice is brand. That's why you should be careful when buying LCD monitor, or a notebook. Especially liked, chose a real resolution where you would feel most comfortable using in the comparison with the size of the screen. There is no point to buy LCD Monitor 14 "with 1280x1024 resolution; perfect picture will only clean on this resolution, but you will not be able to see almost everything on the screen, because the reduced size of icons, menus, etc..

The biggest problem that both the LCD monitor is their performance. Performance was measured in the thousandth of a second, called the response time. Response time measures the speed monitor to draw the screen. If time is too large (in other words, the monitor is slow), you will see blurred images when you run 3D games on your computer. With LCD monitor responses from approximately 25 Ms, you will not have many problems, but need to find game maniacs Ms. 16 or lower.

Finally, the third feature of the LCD monitor you need to know is called the contrast ratio, which measures the difference between maximum light and maximum black and white monitor that can be produced. The higher ratio is, the better, because you will be able to distinguish between colors similar. A LCD Monitor with 450:1 rate, for example, be better than a monitor with a 400:1.
